Cabo Verde, or the Green Cape, is an archipelago off the coast of Western Africa near to Senegal. Its ice blue waters and luscious green hills make for a slice of paradise. The people of this island are wonderful, kind and friendly. We were only there for a few days but we hated to leave so soon with still so much to discover and so much beauty and adventure to take in. One thing that stuck with me was how important fishing is to the people of these islands and their colorful boats. It is only fitting since the ocean is such an integral part of the lives and economy.
